| Roy Falk, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Francisco State University where he studied under some of the leaders of the Bay Area Figurative Movement. Mel Henderson, Joe Hawley, Pat McKee and Tom Thompson played key roles in shaping Roy’s early affinity for the bold and colorful rhythms of abstract expressionism. Roy has also studied with renowned artists, including George Post, Margaret Maxwell, and Robert Burridge . In addition to painting, Roy has had an entrepreneurial career in telecommunications. His work has literally taken him around the world. He served as a director for businesses in Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Poland and Brazil. Living and working abroad has gifted him with a storehouse of images which reflect the cultural diversity and natural beauty of the places he has lived and worked. |
