JULIE MASTERSON

Julie Masterson’s photographs represent elements of our
world threatened by negative change. Her mission – to inspire
appreciation for endangered landscapes and cultures around
the world – has taken her to remote regions of Tibet, Arabia,
Africa, India and Patagonia. Her hope is to deepen our
commitment to preserving our sacred heritage: the purity of
the natural landscape and the creations of man that honor our
spiritual essence.

Julie began her 20 year career as a fine art photographer by
studying with master photographers Ansel Adams, Robert
Glen Ketchum, Eliot Porter, and Paul Caponigro. Each has
influenced her work: Ansel Adam’s discipline and craftsman-
ship and his commitment to the “straight” unmanipulated
photograph; Bob Ketchum’s concern for the environment;
Eliot Porter’s sensitivity to color; and Paul Caponigro’s
intuitive style.
