| Julie Mastersons photographs represent elements of our world threatened by negative change. Her mission to inspire appreciation for endangered landscapes and cultures around the world has taken her to remote regions of Tibet, Arabia, Africa, India and Patagonia. Her hope is to deepen our commitment to preserving our sacred heritage: the purity of the natural landscape and the creations of man that honor our spiritual essence. Julie began her 20 year career as a fine art photographer by studying with master photographers Ansel Adams, Robert Glen Ketchum, Eliot Porter, and Paul Caponigro. Each has influenced her work: Ansel Adams discipline and craftsman- ship and his commitment to the straight unmanipulated photograph; Bob Ketchums concern for the environment; Eliot Porters sensitivity to color; and Paul Caponigros intuitive style. |
